BIGS Self ballasted induction lamps are a breakthrough technology that combines the long life and reliability of induction lighting with the convenience of a screw-in lamp base. BIGS self ballasted induction lamps last more than 60,000 hours - over 20 years of normal nighttime operation. That is about 10 times longer than most CFL lamps. This long life means no lamp replacement for years for come. Longer life also means less waste and less disposal and recycling of spent lamps. Because BIGS self ballasted induction lamps contain very small amounts of mercury, they can be disposed of like a CFL.
BIGS self ballasted induction lamps are bright. Typically twice as bright as other lamps of a similar wattage. This means that you can use less energy while enjoying brighter, cleaner light. Over the lifetime of a 23 watt BIGS induction lamp, you will save up to 100% compared to CFLs while never having to replace the BIGS induction lamp.
Select 5000K lamps for a clean, bright white light that is perfect for offices, manufacturing and product inspection or select 3500K lamps for a warm soft light that is perfect for home use.
Some great locations for these long lasting, great looking lamps are high or difficult to access places, or just places where changing a lamp is inconvenient. Because of their great color rendering index (CRI) they are also excellent for security applications where good visual identification is critical.
